Gemini Advanced users can now access Google's most experimental model

According to Google, this model is a "workhorse" offering low latency, cutting-edge performance, and impressive capabilities in areas such as coding, math, reasoning, and instruction following—at twice the speed of its predecessor, Gemini 1.5 Flash.

In benchmark tests like MATH, MMMU, GPQA, and Natural2Code, which evaluate performance in math, image generation, reasoning, and coding, Gemini 2.0 Flash consistently outperformed Gemini 1.5 Pro. Subscribers to the Gemini Advanced plan can access this model via the model picker toggle on both desktop and mobile platforms.

The Gemini Advanced plan, part of the Google One AI Premium subscription, offers a wealth of perks, including 2TB of storage, Google Photos editing tools, and premium Google Meet features, for $20 per month. Notably, it also includes Deep Research, an innovative feature capable of conducting thorough research tasks on behalf of users.
